Channel name builder

Builds Discord channel names from capital-looking letters and decorative symbols.

Runs locally

Discord lowercases channel names, so anything you type in capitals comes back lowercase. This tool swaps your name for letters that survive that, and lets you decorate it with symbols.

Up to 200 characters — this tool's own cap, not a Discord limit.

0 characters · Nothing typed yet, so the previews use the sample name "general".

Letters that look like capitals

Letters are swapped for look-alikes, keeping the case you typed. Spaces, hyphens and other scripts are left as they are; capitals the set does not cover are lowercased.

A few are picked each time you open the page.

Small capsOnly the letters you typed in capitals change. There is no small capital x, so X alone is left as typed.

Full-width (A), circled (Ⓐ) and Cyrillic look-alike (А) letters are not offered: they were measured to be lowercased.

What this tool does

Everything is worked out inside this browser, and every character on offer was checked beforehand to stay unchanged when lowercased.

This tool has not verified how the Discord client itself handles channel names. All it does is offer characters that survive Unicode lowercasing, so check in Discord whether anything is filtered or changed there.

A channel name made of symbols may be read out symbol by symbol, or skipped entirely, by a screen reader, and it is harder to find by search or mention. On a shared server, keep the decoration short.

Small caps, math alphabets and decorative symbols can look different depending on the fonts on the device reading them. Where no installed font carries the character it is drawn from a fallback font or shown as an empty box, so check an important channel name on more than one device.
