Default avatar lookup

Shows which default Discord avatar number and image a user ID works out to.

Runs locally

Works out which default profile picture Discord gives a user ID. It is the picture you see on accounts that never uploaded one.

A 17-20 digit number. Turn on Developer Mode in Discord settings and use "Copy User ID" on a profile.

Type a user ID and the default profile picture will appear here.

How it is calculated

default picture number = (user ID / 4194304, rounded down) mod 6

4194304 is 2 to the power of 22.

This calculation uses the user ID alone. Picking the default picture from the tag (discriminator) was a different calculation, and this tool does not do it. Accounts that uploaded their own picture show that picture instead, so this number never appears for them.
